En los años ochenta surgió una de las bandas que han dejado una gran huella en nuestro rock mexicano, en 1983 nace Kerigma, agrupación que fue muy conocida por el famoso éxito Tres Lunares que sonó y ha sonado durante treinta años, sin embargo, Kerigma también fue parte fundamental para la creación de espacios para conciertos como el Rockotitlán y La Rockola
Cerca del año 2000 los integrantes de la banda deciden concentrarse en proyectos personales sin plantearse una separación como tal, por ello ahora después de algunos ensayos realizados en el 2015 deciden regresar para hacer nueva música y volver a los escenarios como en aquellos años 80s.
Ahora Kerigma llega a este cierre del 2021 con un nuevo disco titulado Viajeros, y para saber más detalles sobre este gran regreso platicamos con Tony Hernández y Sergio Silva
ROCK & HISTORIAS: Después de 23 años Kerigma lanza un nuevo disco que ahora conocemos como Viajeros ¿Qué los motivo para volver a juntarse?
KERIGMA: En 2015 nos invitaron a participar en un show con Rostros Ocultos y Los Amantes de Lola yal momento de ensayar nos dimos cuenta que queríamos regresar. Pero no por nostalgia sino por querer volver a crear música, nos dimos cuenta que amamos esto. Ahora de todo esto nace Viajeros y también lanzaremos un disco que nunca salió, fue un disco que hicimos para la Opera de Hamlet.
ROCK & HISTORIAS: Escuchando Viajeros me remonta a sus viajas producciones, suenan muy igual ¿Fue algo que buscaron al crear este nuevo material o solo es la esencia de Kerigma la que se hace presente?
KERIGMA: Que bonito lo comentas, y voy a tomar esa palabra, sin dudar es la esencia que nos ha unido por tantos años lo que hizo que todo fluyera muy orgánicamente, solo con voltear a vernos entendíamos lo uno o el otro iba a hacer en ese momento, y con cada ensayo fuimos grabando, no tuvimos que voltear al pasado para saber cómo hacíamos las cosas.
A la mejor si tomamos algunas letras que teníamos en el baúl de los recuerdos, pero solo eso, nada de lo musical lo tomamos del pasado, lo que escuchan en “Viajeros” solo es el presente de Kerigma.
ROCK & HISTORIAS: Ahora Kerigma anda sonando mucho con este nuevo disco pero que pasa con las producciones anteriores ¿en algún momento abra una reedición de Esquizofrenia o Morir Imaginando?
KERIGMA: Sí, ya hay un tiraje de Esquizofrenia que podríamos decir es solo para coleccionista, solo son 500 copias y están a la venta en nuestros shows, de igual forma sacaremos el disco de Hamlet el príncipe de la locura, aún tenemos muchas sorpresas, tanto cosas nuevas que vamos a ir sacando como retomar lo que teníamos anteriormente para que todos puedan conocer la historia completa de la banda.
Como un plus y para que se interesen más en el disco de Esquizofrenia les comentamosque viene con fotos inéditas que no habían salido antes.
ROCK & HISTORIAS: Después de esta pandemia Kerigma presentara Viajeros en el Huerto Roma Verde en una noche llamada “Noches de Rockotitlan” ¿Qué podemos esperar con este título?
KERIGMA: Sera una noche para escuchar historia, vamos a contar anécdotas y cantar como lo hacíamos en aquel lugar emblemático que creamos junto a Botellita de Jerez llamado Rockotitlan. Tocaremos canciones de todos los discos, pero lo más importante es la cercanía que tendremos con todos los que asistan a esta noche mágica.
Queremos que los que iban a Rockotitlan vuelvan a sentirse como en aquellos años y las nuevas generaciones que nos empiezan a conocer con esta noche puedan darse una idea de lo que fue Rockotitlan.
ROCK & HISTORIAS: Después de esta presentación ¿Qué plan tiene Kerigma para el futuro?
KERIGMA: Antes que nada, publicar toda la discografía, tanto por las plataformas digitales como en físico. Seguiremos haciendo presentaciones esperando que sea por todo el país. También ya tenemos la invitación para participar en un gran festival en marzo del siguiente año. Y seguiremos creando nueva música; les podemos decir que hay Kerigma para un buen rato.
ROCK & HISTORIAS: Revise sus redes sociales y veo que hay una gran respuesta del público tanto jóvenes como viejos, los fans de antaño siguen estando presentes ¿Cómo se sienten ante esta respuesta después de tanto tiempo inactivos?
KERIGMA: Nos hace muy felices, quiere decir que algo bueno hicimos, por ello mismo queremos darles mucho más. Sobre los fans “viejos” preferimos llamarlos fans de colección (risa) los apreciamos mucho, en los shows que hemos realizado vemos como la gente realmente disfruta del concierto como reviviendo otras épocas y no te imaginas lo bien que nosotros sentimos al ver esas emociones en sus rostros.
